Hot for Hilbert

elin.jpg

In a refreshing change of appearance for maths geniuses, 22-year old Swede Elin Oxenhielm—that's her with the low-slung cargo pants—has just solved the 16th of Hilbert's notorious 23 mathematical problems. At least the hard (second) part. And I was making such good progress, too. I'll just get to work on the Riemann Hypothesis, then. [Via unstruct.org via mymarkup.net]
